Jim Jenkins is an incredible naturally talented local visual artist from the Cowichan Valley on Vancouver Island, BC.  His artwork includes original acrylic canvas paintings and fine art giclée photography prints which brings his photos to life. Both mediums come in a variety of sizes:   3x9, 8x10, 9x12, 11x14, 16x20, 24x30, 30x40, 48x60 ~ Prices start at $300 for paintings and $100 for giclee photograpy prints.

Jim's passion for nature and all its beauty is evident in both his paintings and his photography. A self-taught artist, Jim was born in England in 1950 and later immigrated with his family to Vancouver Island, B.C. His paintings are inspired by his travels in the mountains, along the coast and river valleys of B.C., reflecting the colour & majesty of his subjects and their surroundings. He is a strong believer in co-existence with all creatures and raises this awareness throughout his art & everyday life. Through his images and art, he shares his respect for the environment and the inspiration he receives from it.

Jim is an avid supporter of different groups that work together to preserve & protect our wild spaces. Bears are a major part of this passion and he is a strong advocate and supporter of educational programs. Jim lives with his wife in Honeymoon Bay, BC where they enjoy hiking in the Cowichan Valley and is an accredited member of the Commercial Bear Viewing Association of BC.
